After last yearâs Vinyl Record Show was canceled due to COVID-19, Davidâs Used Books & Records will host the annual event on April 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Greenville Masonic Temple, located at 1104 Charles St.
David Brown, the owner of Davidâs Used Books & Records, said as of April 14, he has 10 different vendors set to come to the show, with 12 to 14 tables filled for the event.
âIn the past, Iâve normally had about 30 to 35 tables, but for this show, Iâm doing about half that amount. With half capacity, I will be able to space out the tables and give each vendor an extra table,â Brown said.

Independent Bookstore Day looks a little different this year – again.
The American Booksellers Association’s annual celebration of indie bookstores is typically held on the last Saturday in April. In early 2020, as the pandemic spread, Independent Bookstore Day was rescheduled to the last Saturday in August, in hopes that bookstores would be operating normally by then. We all know how that story ended.
For 2021, with a year of pandemic selling experience under everyone’s belts, Independent Bookstore Day is back to its usual April date. Participating stores plan unique celebrations that can include raffle baskets, prizes, discounts, special merchandise and more – but many of the celebrations will be virtual.

April 01, 2021BETHLEHEM Although she s overseen operations at Beannacht since last fall, Juliet Born became the new owner of Bethlehem s used book store earlier this month.
To honor the memory of friend and store founder Robin Grubby, who passed last fall, Born renamed the business to Legacy Used Books.
She said, Robin conceived and created this bookstore and made it such a welcoming space in Bethlehem. Every conversation with Robin was both enriching and fun, and I hope to pay that inspiration forward.
Grubby founded Beannacht in 2016. Located in the heart of Bethlehem s Main Street theater district, the bookstore is located across the street from the Colonial Theater in a 100-year-old space that was once a pharmacy. With floor-to-ceiling woodwork and original tin ceilings, the space is warm and inviting with overstuffed furniture and countless bookshelves.
