A CARE home in Chester has rewarded a Saltney charity for going above and beyond. Care UK’s Deewater Grange, on Chester Road, crowned the Neuro Therapy Centre in River Lane as the winner of the home’s local heroes competition. The Neuro Therapy Centre is a charity which offers free practical support and therapy to those affected by a range of neurological conditions, including multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, motor neurone disease and myalgic encephalomyelitis, also known as chronic fatigue syndrome. The centre normally assists up to 250 people every week, providing expert advice in a positive environment, while giving access to a range of facilities, from a hyperbaric oxygen chamber to an adapted gym.

Invicta Court care home in Maidstone makes uplifting short film Together Again this Christmas

A short Christmas film which could give a John Lewis advert a run for its money has been created by a care home in Maidstone.
Residents and staff at Invicta Court in Gidd s Pond Way joined forces to make Together Again , an emotional film which tells the story of a grandmother and granddaughter forced apart because of Covid-19.

The home s maintenance manager Brian Thornton filmed, directed and edited the video which has been viewed by more than 1,800 people and left all who watched it with a tear in their eye.
