Free breast and cervical cancer screenings will be offered from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 6, at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center’s Crosby Clinic for uninsured and under-insured women ages 40 years and older who meet income guidelines.
At the event, eligible women will receive clinical breast examinations, mammograms, Pap tests, pelvic examinations, human papillomavirus (HPV) tests, diagnostic testing if results are abnormal, and referrals to treatment.
Family physician Dr. Camille Lang and women’s health nurse practitioner Jesse Oman will volunteer their time to assist women.
CRMC hopes to make more women in the Cuyuna lakes area aware of this free program.

Children as young as 12 went missing overnight from their Jersey care homes in 2020, with one child going missing 47 times.

One care home, alone, reported 143 incidents in 2020. Incidents could include missing from care episodes, arrests, hospital attendance related to substance misuse, assault allegations and self-harm, and require notification to the Commission within two working days. The majority of the reports related to young people missing from care at night.

A big hearted, deeply loving and caring mother-of-eight who suffered mental health problems died as a result of suicide, an inquest heard.
She was pictured on CCTV near Cohen s chemist, at the junction of Northumberland Road and Brinnington Road, at 10.20am.
Her body was later found by a dog walker in a deep ravine in Reddish Vale Country Park on September 12.
At an inquest at Stockport Coroners Court, Debra s mother, Maureen Toon, said she had spoken to her daughter, who had been diagnosed as bipolar, the night before her disappearance and said she seemed like normal Debbie.
