Not because of the deadliest virus known to mankind, but because we have never been attacked with such ferocious psychological methods as is deliberately being done today by our UK and Scottish governments; measures to coerce us, manipulate us, to scare us, to shame us, and to make us shame other people for not following orders pertaining to COVID-19 measures. We have been warned previously by many who suffered totalitarian communism in Eastern Europe. We were warned for many decades that such a moment would come to the West if we were not vigilant enough; unfortunately, it seems that our watchfulness has failed and our liberty has been stolen.

Sony Music is offering musicians the chance to train as music therapists The label will provide bursaries to four applicants to study on the Nordoff Robbins Master of Music Therapy programme CREDIT: David Redfern/Redferns Sony Music UK is offering musicians the chance to train as music therapists with independent music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins. The charity runs the Master of Music Therapy programme, which lasts for two years and gives graduates the eligibility to apply to the Health and Care Professions Council for registration as a music therapist. Sony will give four applicants bursaries to study in Newcastle or Manchester in 2021, which will cover the £10,000 tuition fees for the programme. The new initiative aims to remove the barriers to the programme for those who would not otherwise have the opportunity or resources to access it.

New members appointed to Parades Commission

Secretary of State Brandon Lewis has announced a number of new appointments to Northern Ireland s Parades Commission. The Very Reverend Dr Graham Forbes has been appointed as the new chair of the organisation, while Derek Wilson, Marian Cree, Eimear McAllister and Joelle Black have been appointed commissioners. The Parades Commission is responsible for the regulation of contentious parades and demonstrations in Northern Ireland and can place restrictions on events when deemed necessary. It was set up in 1998 following the Drumecree stand-off over an Orange Order parade in a Catholic area of Portadown. Mrs Black is a serving commissioner and her new appointment will commence on April 1. The other appointees will join the commission on January 1.
