The Asian middle distillate complex is poised to remain steady in the week of May 10-14. In the gasoil sector, industry sources said leaner regional supplies due to refinery turnarounds will offset sluggish demand on the back of tightening COVID-19 restrictions, while the pandemic continues to hamper demand in the jet fuel/kerosene market.
Jet fuel/Kerosene The balance-month May-June jet fuel/kerosene time spread narrowed 3 cents/b to plus 2 cents/b at 0245 GMT May 10, from plus 5 cents/b at the 0830 GMT Asian close on May 7, Platts data showed. The FOB Singapore jet fuel/kerosene cash differential was seen higher in the previous week, and was assessed at plus 10 cents/b to Mean of Platts Singapore jet fuel/kerosene assessments on May 7, marking a 29 cents/b jump week on week.
