The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on May 3, 2021 arrested Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jodhpur, Doda who was also incharge Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bhaderwah for accepting a bribe of 15,000 for issuing Transfer Certificate (TC) of a minor girl studying in KV Kishtwar for her transfer to KV Bhaderwah. After having laid a trap the bureau officials caught the official red handed. The incident is a blot on the system that produced a Principal of this stature and especially education system wherein we except students to display highest moral values and respect their teachers.

SRINAGAR: Anti Corruption Bureau received a complaint against the Principal KendriyaVidyalaya, Jodhpur, Doda namely Rajeev Kumar Mahajan, who is also Incharge principal, KendriyaVidyalaya, Bhaderwah. It was alleged that the complainant had applied for the issuance of Transfer Certificate (TC) of his minor daughter who is studying in KV Kishtwar, for her transfer from KV Kishtwar to KV Bhaderwah. The complainant contacted Principal KV Bhaderwahseeking her transfer. The I/C KV Bhaderwah, Rajeev Kumar Mahajan, kept on delaying matter and demanded Rs. 25,000/- for managing the transfer of his daughter from KV Kishtwar to KV Bhaderwah. The complainant explained his inability to pay such a huge amount. The said principal of KV Bhaderwah agreed on an amount of Rs.15000/- to do the needful and called the complainant to Doda near Post office with the bribe amount.

Three day-old student passes Class 8, shows Bihar school certificate

Patna, April 9 : A Transfer Certificate issued by a Bihar school shows that a three day-old student passed Class 8 exams. As per the TC, the student was born on March 20, 2007 while he passed the exam on March 23, 2007.
The student identified as Prince Kumar told the mediapersons, I passed Class 8 on March 23, 2007 from Gosaidas Tengrari Government School in Muzaffarpur. The school provided the TC with my date of birth as March 20, 2007. Interestingly, the principal of the school also signed it without noticing the error. When I reported the matter to the school and went there to meet the principal, the school authorities threw me out of the school, the student claimed.
