Care home residents in Carlisle have taken part in the UK’s largest tea tasting for National Tea Day. The residents of Pennine Lodge joined 8,000 others across the UK to mark National Tea Day on April 21. Four Seasons Health Care Group, who manage the care home, tested teas across all 180 of its care homes to find a new favourite among its residents, who have drank more than a combined 12 million cups of tea since the pandemic began. Resident Patricia Algeo, 90, tea connoisseur and care home chief tea taster, said: “A good cup of tea is all you need to lift your spirits.
