Fire marshal to investigate Burnstown blaze

According to the Renfrew detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, the blaze occurred at around 11:30 a.m. in a home on Burnstown Road in Horton Township. By the time officers and other responders arrived, the residence was fully engulfed in flames. The five occupants were taken to the Renfrew Victoria Hospital with minor injuries. On March 2, at approximately 11:30 a.m., members of the Renfrew detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Horton Township, McNab/Braeside Township and Renfrew Fire Departments along with the County of Renfrew Paramedic Service were called to attend a residential fire on Burnstown Road in Horton Township. Woman suffers life-threatening injuries in head-on crash near Arnprior

  OTTAWA A woman is being treated for life-threatening injuries following a two vehicle crash near Arnprior. Emergency crews responded to the crash on Calabogie Road in McNab-Braeside Township, between Burnstown Road and Anderson Road, just after 3 p.m. Friday. Ontario Provincial Police says the investigation shows a northbound SUV crossed into the southbound lane and struck a northbound vehicle head-on. The passenger of the SUV was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The two drivers and another passenger were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Calabogie Road - Renfrew County OPP continues to investigate the crash. A section of Calabogie Road was closed Friday night between Anderson Road and Burnstown Road.
