Despite being told to put a weapon down, the boy continued to swing the machete wildly , a prosecutor has said. The teenager was given an eight-month detention training order at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Friday. The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has admitted causing unnecessary suffering to three-year-old Stark and possessing a machete in a public place.

West Midlands Police said officers were called to a house in Holly Road, Handsworth, Birmingham, at around 9am on Sunday. The force said a man, believed to be in his 20s, was found in a bath with multiple serious injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene but has not yet been formally identified. Police said a man was arrested a few miles away later on Sunday morning on train tracks near Wigmore Lane in West Bromwich.

West Midlands Police said a 14-year-old boy, from Birmingham, and a 15-year-old boy, from Walsall, have now been charged with Keon s murder. The force said the suspects have been remanded into custody to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Monday. A week on from Keon s death, his mother and twin sister joined dozens of well-wishers to lay flowers and offer prayers at the scene on Thursday.
