2 drivers were going over 100 mph in deadly 5-car crash on bridge, authorities say

Two Philadelphia men who were driving over 100 mph were charged with causing a deadly five-car crash last year on Tacony-Palmyra Bridge, authorities announced Tuesday.
Jonathan Ramos, 28, was charged with vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of a fatal accident, causing death while driving with a suspended license and endangering an injured victim by leaving the scene without rendering aid, according to a joint statement from the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and the Burlington County Bridge Commission.
He surrendered with his attorney Monday at the prosecutor’s office, authorities said. He remained lodged in in the Burlington County Jail and had a detention hearing scheduled for Friday.

Fifteen people were arrested in the second round of an investigation that specifically targeted online sex crimes during the coronavirus pandemic, authorities said.
A dramatic increase in online activity throughout the state has created increased opportunities for sexual exploitation of children online, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.
In the last six months, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office High-Tech Crimes Unit said it has received 74 cybertips related to crimes against children.

A Philadelphia man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison, after admitting to trying to rape a woman along the side of a highway in Mount Laurel.
At Thursday s court proceeding, the intended victim of 54-year-old Donald Cramer also got to finally meet the Good Samaritan who saved her, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor s Office.
Cramer must serve more than 15 years of the term before becoming eligible for parole, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said.
The sentence handed down by a Burlington County Superior Court judge was the result of a plea deal, as Cramer pled guilty in September to first-degree attempted aggravated sexual assault.
