Shooting at birthday party kills 2, authorities say

Two men were fatally shot at a birthday party in Edgewater Park township early Sunday morning, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office said.
Police were called to a house on the 200 block of Dogwood Avenue shortly before 1 a.m., where about 10 people had been gathered to celebrate a birthday.
Police found two men, James Gist III, 29, of Westampton and Marcus Thompson, 29, of Willingboro, had been shot. Both were pronounced dead at the scene, the office said.
The two victims were the only ones at the home struck by gunfire.
No arrests have been made and authorities are continuing to investigate the motive for the shooting, the office said.
1 killed in 5-car crash on Tacony-Palmyra Bridge

One person was killed in a five-car crash on the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge Monday night, officials said.
Two cars were driving west towards Philadelphia when one car clipped the other, sending it into the eastbound lane, causing a head-on collision with a Honda Civic. Five cars in total were involved, and the first two appeared to have been speeding, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office said in a release.
The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity is not being released, as the family has not yet been informed, officials said.
It happened around 6:50 p.m. Monday.
According to authorities, the crash occurred when two cars heading westbound towards Philadelphia appeared to be speeding. One car clipped the other sending it into the eastbound lane, where it struck a Honda Civic head-on.
Two other vehicles were also hit.
The driver of the Civic, Gerardo Francisco Perez Martinez, 35, of Camden, New Jersey, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Five others were taken to the hospital with various injuries, none of which appear to be life-threatening.
The bridge reopened to traffic around 2:40 a.m. Tuesday.
No arrest or charges have been announced

PALMYRA - A Camden man died and five people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash Monday evening on the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge, authorities say.
The accident started in the bridge s westbound lanes when one vehicle clipped another and sent it into the path of an eastbound car around 6:50 p.m., said the Burlington County Prosecutor s Office.
The driver of the eastbound car, 35-year-old Gerardo Francisco Perez Martinez, died in a head-on collision it said.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing. The driver of the Civic was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which ultimately involved five vehicles, said an account from the prosecutor s office.
