‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the shelter, not a creature was stirring - not even a mouse. Savannah and Bic Mitchum, though, weren’t mice - and try as they might, wish as they would, the pair just couldn t settle for that long winter’s nap. For both had heard of Santa and that magic he brings, and now it was those sweet visions that danced in their heads.
“I heard Santa leaves milk and cat treats for every good kitty,” said Savannah.
“I heard that he rides a sleigh pulled by eight magic reindogs,” said Bic Mitchum.
There may be ‘12 Days of Christmas,’ but at the Burlington County Animal Shelter, the number 11 is deserving of its own holiday tune. While you won’t find a gaggle of pipers piping in the shelter, you will find two of the sweetest, cutest and most loving 11-year-olds hoping to go home for the holidays.
One the first day of Christmas, and every day thereafter, Tai promises to bring you true love, wrapped up in an adorable little package.
Tai is a little bit of everything - a bit Blue Heeler, a touch of Carolina dog, a smattering of shepherd, and a whole lot of love. Tai also happens to be blind and has limited hearing, but he doesn’t let either issue prevent him from living his best life.
