CALDWELL, TX â According to Caldwell ISD Superintendent, Andrew Peters, a junior high student has been taken into custody after bringing a gun to their CJHS/CHS campus.
According to Peter, the student had shown off the gun to another classmate in the bathroom. Following this, said classmate reported it and the weapon was confiscated. The campus was on lock-down for about 2.5 hours and no injuries were reported. The campus has since resumed a regular school schedule and will continue to interview more students regarding this matter.

CALDWELL, Texas The Burleson County Sheriff s Office has released new details behind the arrest of a Caldwell Junior High student Monday.
Authorities said a 13-year-old student was found with a gun on school grounds. They said Caldwell ISD officials and a School Resource Officer with the Burleson County Sheriff s Office were told a student possibly had a gun with them at the school.
The officer and other school officials said they found the student and began walking with them to the school office when the student allegedly began running towards an exit door. Authorities said another Caldwell ISD student grabbed onto the teen before they could get to the door.

The Burleson County Sheriffâs Office is assisting DPS in locating a vehicle that allegedly ran into a business early Saturday morning.
According to the Burleson County Sheriff s Office, the vehicle ran into and did extensive property damage at a business on HWY 36 near Lyons.
The vehicle of interest is described as a GMC, possibly a 2500.
The vehicle will be missing mirrors, have front end damage and possible a busted passenger window, according to the sheriff s office.

CALDWELL, TX â Funeral services have been arranged for a Blinn College police officer who lost his life earlier this month following a major collision in west Brazos County.
The officer, 46-year-old Christopher Luttrell of Caldwell, had been traveling in a personal vehicle along Texas State 21 on December 17, when a tire on Luttrellâs car burst, causing the vehicle to lose control and collide with an oncoming delivery truck.
The officer leaves behind a legacy of meaningful service with Blinn College law enforcement, as well as the Caldwell Police Department and Burleson County Sheriffâs Office.
