QUETTA (Dunya News) - At least 159 more persons were tested positive for coronavirus in Balochistan on Wednesday, bringing the total number of infected patients to 24,223 in the province, Dunya News reported. According to a report released by the Balochistan Health Department, over 762,004 people were screened for the virus till May 19, out of which 24,223 were reported positive and 159 in the last 24 hours. Balochistan Health Department also informed that there are 1,079 active coronavirus cases in the province while 22,874 affected patients have been recovered from the coronavirus so far.

According to Balochistan Health Department coordinator Dr Wasim Baig, 1,088 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the province in the last 24 hours in which 121 persons were tested positive. He also informed that 22,912 affected patients have recovered from the coronavirus so far. At least 255 persons have so far died of coronavirus in Balochistan. Moreover, COVID Positivity Ratio on Tuesday was recorded at 11.12 percent in the province.
