Emergent BioSolutions, which ran a manufacturing plant where contamination concerns forced millions of doses to be thrown out, is shifting some top roles. All adults in India will be eligible for vaccines starting on Saturday, but doctors say there aren’t enough doses.

More than 1,000 graduates will be honored

U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin will give the keynote address at a virtual ceremony for The Universities at Shady Grove graduates on May 7.
This will be the second consecutive year the event will be held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. with a speech from Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan. It will be streamed on the college’s Facebook and YouTube pages.
Other speakers include USG Executive Director Anne Khademian and four graduating students. Raskin, a Takoma Park resident who gained international attention this year as impeachment manager in a trial against former President Donald Trump, will be the keynote speaker.
Howard Community College in Columbia is planning to gradually reopen this summer and be a “fully operational” in-person campus in the fall, according to a news release.
