Tokyo Tech s High School-University Collaboration in Education Tokyo Tech has been offering opportunities for high school students in the Tokyo Tech High School of Science and Technology to experience university-level education since 2004. The purpose of this collaborative education is for high-school students to develop a vision of their future and then go on to university with clear objectives, making university education a natural extension of their high school education. Tokyo Tech ANNEX Aachen

Tokyo Tech ANNEX Aachen opened in March 2019 on the campus of RWTH Aachen University, Germany. Tokyo Tech and RWTH Aachen have been actively engaged through research and student exchanges since concluding a university-wide cooperation agreement in 2007. In recent years, the two institutions have alternately held Joint Workshops as well as a Joint Symposium for International Industry-Academia Collaboration. In addition to holding annual workshops on frontiers in science and technology, ANNEX Aachen will conduct activities to advance the two institutions collaborations with universities, research institutions and industry in Germany and surrounding countries.

Two Tokyo Tech students certified as accessibility leaders

Published: May 20, 2021 Yasunari Shinoda, a 1st-year doctoral student in Chemical Science and Engineering, and Keisuke Sumitomo, a 3rd-year student in Mechanical Engineering have become the first Tokyo Tech students to be certified as accessibility leaders by the Accessibility Leader Promotion Consortium, an association consisting of 23 universities and the Japan Student Services Organization. Shinoda, Sumitomo, and six Tokyo Tech faculty and staff members passed the Level 2 Accessibility Leader examination in December 2020, and received their certifications on March 17, 2021 from Executive Vice President for Education Tetsuya Mizumoto.
