Former Penn State football wide receiver TJ Jones is heading down south to Birmingham, Alabama.
The former three-star recruit announced Monday he’s transferring to the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he’ll play for Bill Clark’s Blazers.

The Lake City, Florida native arrived in Happy Valley in 2019, redshirting his true freshman season and only appearing in the Purdue game. He appeared in seven games during Penn State’s 2020 campaign but did not register a reception.
Jones was listed as a third-string receiver behind KeAndre Lambert-Smith and Daniel George on the Nittany Lions’ final 2020 depth chart.

Door knockers about the COVID-19 vaccine hung on over 3,000 doors around the Smithfield community on Monday thanks to the work of some local entities.
Jefferson County Commissioner Sheila Tyson, the Housing Authority of the Birmingham District (HABD) and the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s (UAB) Minority Health and Health Disparities Research Center (MHRC) partnered in an effort to help decrease vaccine hesitancy and increase vaccine awareness.

The US paused its rollout of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday, following six reports of blood clots among people who got the shot.
All six cases involved women between 18 and 48 years old. They developed the clots six to 13 days after their shots, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration. So far, 6.8 million Americans have gotten the J&J vaccine so if clots are indeed linked to the vaccine (which is not yet known) they re seen at a rate of less than one in 1 million.
