Petersburg residents gathered outside the municipal building Wednesday night for a candlelight vigil in their memory. As Katie Anastas reports, it was also an opportunity for local Tlingit and Haida leaders to reflect on their own family histories. Diane Benson quoted Tlingit elder Jessie Johnnie during her remarks at Wednesday’s vigil.
