Photo courtesy UHS website University of Health Sciences Lahore on Friday announced results for the BDS Second Professional Annual Examination. The varsity, in a statement on Twitter, informed students they can view the results here. According to the statement, 886 students sat for the exams from 17 different dental colleges. Of these, 720 cleared the exam, whereas 159 failed. The passing rate was said by UHS Lahore to be 81.91% this year. Last year, the rate was 77.86%. The first, second and third positions were all scored by women. Their names are given as under:

Provisional MBBS/BDS merit list for public sector colleges UHS Lahore has also announced the provisional merit list for the open merit MBBS/BDS session for 2020-21 for public sector medical and dental colleges.

KEMC status restored through ordinance - Newspaper

LAHORE: The Punjab governor on Thursday promulgated an ordinance to restore the status of the King Edward Medical College 15 years after it was upgraded as university. The goal of the ordinance is to restore over 150-year-old historic status of the KEMC following the long-standing demands of the former and present faculty of the varsity. In a related development, the Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education (SH&ME) department Punjab has prepared a summary for the Punjab government to seek permission to notify the institute as the Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) under the MTI Reforms Act 2020. The department has also nominated/proposed names of six members in various categories to constitute the Board of Governors of the KEMC.
