Vice Chancellors of public, private and technical universities in the country have pledged to support the Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, to transform and promote the development of the country through education.
The Chairmen of the Vice Chancellors, who made the announcement, said they would do everything to assist him in the planning, promoting and implementation of strategic policies that stood the chance of transforming the development of education leading to socio-economic development of the country.
Purpose
The VCs gave the assurance at separate ceremonies when they paid courtesy calls on the minister in Accra to congratulate him on his elevation to the substantive position of the ministry and also to discuss issues that would help improve the development of education in the country.

The Minister of Energy, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh, says the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) is fast becoming a truly recognised brand in health science education.
He said the vision of the institution, located at Sokode in the Volta Region, to be a “pre-eminent research and practically oriented health educational institution dedicated to community services”, was a worthy one.
The minister said the school’s vision, when pursued diligently, would result in the application of the acquired knowledge relevant to needs and aspirations of Ghanaians, and also contribute towards health sustainability.

Former Deputy General Secretary of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Samuel Koku Anyidoho has saluted the Cadres of the party for organizing a meeting to address the challenges in the party.
According to him, the likes of senior comrade Dan Abodakpi, Hudu Yahaya, Benjamin Kumbuor and Goosie Tanoh as well as other cadres deserve applause for embarking on that exercise in the interest of the NDC.
