Get COVID-19 tests even if it may be allergies, Iowa doctor says

Iowa still seeing community spread of COVID-19 The state of the pandemic in Iowa is far from the bleak highs of cases, hospitalizations and deaths seen in the winter. The two-week totals of Iowans testing positive, being hospitalized or dying from COVID-19 are all fractions of what they once were. Nearly 59% of the state s adults have at least one dose of vaccine and nearly half of adult Iowans are fully vaccinated, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. But a positive trend is not the finish line.  The Brown School of Public Health lists every Iowa county as in the community spread stage of the pandemic or worse, where it should be assumed the COVID-causing coronavirus is circulating in the community.
