Wilmington High School announces students of the month
Ag Ed Department Grace Brown
Grace Brown is the Ag Department Student of the Month for January. Grace is an active member of the Wilmington FFA Chapter. Grace is currently serving as the 2020-2021 FFA Secretary. She has diligently worked on her officer book, was of significant help during the annual fruit sale, and dedicates her time to her studies at Wilmington and SSCC. Grace always comes to school and FFA events with a great attitude and willingness to help her classmates. I am very excited to see Grace start the next chapter of her life at the University of Findlay, I know that her experiences at WHS will help her soar!
Education: 2008 Graduate of Newcomerstown High School; College:
Kent State Tuscarawas as a full-time post-secondary student during my senior year of high school; The University of Findlay, Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Doctorate of Physical Therapy. I spent five years at the University of Findlay. I was employed while in college, and was also active as a residential assistant, graduate assistant for intramural sports, as well as being a part of the staff at the university recreational center.
Whitney, please tell us a little about yourself, your family, and your occupation as an physical therapist?
“I grew up in Newcomerstown. Currently, I reside in Stone Creek with my family, and have been married to my husband, Tucker Stein for six years. We have two children, a son Bo who is 4 years old, and a daughter Willow 18 months. I have been a physical therapist for seven years. At the 2020 CDI-W Wellington on 11 - 13 December a new, interesting duo made its international show debut in the Under 25 division: Kendall Cox on Tina Konyot s former Grand Prix ride, Diamantino II.
Diamantino II is an 11-year old Hanoverian gelding by Desperados out of Laura (by Lauries Crusador xx x Lemon Tree x Wendekreis).
He is bred in Germany by Rolf and Maria Dinklage. The chestnut is owned by Bruce Grivetti.
From Missouri to Verden
The 22-year old Kendall Cox is originally from St. Louis, Missouri and majored in English Equestrian Studies at the University of Findlay in Ohio. She began riding at the age of 5 and competed in Saddlebred shows for 12 years before switching to dressage.
