UConn School of Business Set to Offer Master’s Degree in Fintech Next Year   The University of Connecticut (UConn) announced on Wednesday it is creating a master’s degree program in fintech next year. The University reported that the UConn FinTech program was approved by a vote of the Board of Trustees and will combine lessons in advanced business analytics, technology solutions, and financial services. “Skills developed in the program will allow students to create new opportunities in information-rich environments including the financial, insurance, medical, and regulatory fields.” The University further revealed that it is now seeking applicants with “strong aptitude” in business, technology, and coding, as well as an entrepreneurial mindset. The first cohort will begin in Spring 2022 in Hartford, and a second cohort will be added later in Stamford. Admission is expected to be competitive.
