Shawnee County commissioners approve Erin Locke as new health officer

The Shawnee County commissioners approved a contract with       Erin Locke to serve as the county’s new health officer. Locke has a master in public health from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and currently serves as the COVID-19 incident command liaison officer at the Holton Community Hospital, where she currently works.  “She brings that knowledge for the COVID-19 response to Shawnee County,” said Craig Barnes, division manager of the health department s Community Health Outreach and Planning program, at Thursday’s commissioners meeting. “We are extremely excited about the potential of having Dr. Erin Locke as our health officer.”
