KARACHI: In a rare show of unity, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah together visited the mausoleum of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah to pay homage to the father of the nation on the occasion of his birth anniversary on Friday.
CM Shah reached the Quaid’s mausoleum in the morning a little before to receive the governor.
They offered fateha and laid floral wreaths together at the mazar.
People largely appreciated the message communicated through this gesture when a video was posted on social media by an aide of the CM.
December 30 last day for submission of applications at KU

The last date for the submission of the online applications for the open merit admission in the master and bachelor programmes for the academic year 2021 has been extended to December 30, said the University of Karachi on Thursday.
All details about the admission policy, the eligibility criteria and the number of seats have been published in the varsityâs Admission Prospectus-2021, which is available at the web portal, said the KU Directorate of Admissions Incharge Dr Saima Akhtar.

The University of Karachi on Sunday issued the test-based admission list of the bachelor and master programmes (morning) as well as the list of Pharm-D (morning and evening) and visual studies for the academic year 2021.
“Candidates are directed to check the admission list on the web portawww.uokadmission.edu.pk. They are advised to avoid visiting the campus as the university has uploaded all relevant information and guidelines on the web portal,” said a varsity statement.
The KU would announce the fee submission procedure on January 04, 2021, while the fee of the candidates, whose names have appeared in the admission list 2021, would be collected from January 06 to 15, 2021.

According to a statement by the varsity, candidates are directed to check the admission list on their web portal. They have been advised to avoid visiting the campus as the University of Karachi has uploaded all relevant information and guidelines on the web portal.
The procedure for fee submission will be announced on January 4, 2021, while fee collection for candidates whose names have appeared in the admission list will take place between January 6 and 15, 2021.

Two Rangers officials were injured after unidentified men on a motorcycle threw a hand cracker on a Rangers car at the University of Karachi on Tuesday afternoon.
The injured have been moved to the hospital. According to initial reports, the attack took place near the Sheikh Zayed gate.
A car near the site suffered damages as well.
Following the attack, additional Rangers personnel have been deployed at the varsity along with the police.
