June and Edem have a deep faith and feel guided by God in their life s journey. They ve led 37 mission trips to Ghana, training volunteers months in advance of the biannual trips. Their daughters accompanied them from a young age and experienced Ghana s culture and people. Yet, June s homeland was mostly a mystery. Ministers Designate for Food and Agriculture and Environment, Science, technology and Innovation, Dr Owusu Afriyie and Dr Kwaku Afriyie are expected to appear before parliament s Appointments Committee to be vetted today, Friday, February 19, 2021.
Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto served as the Food and Agriculture Minister in the president’s first term from 2017 to January 2021 and will still be at the same post if approved by the committee.
Dr Kwaku Afriyie on the other hand served as the Minister of State in charge of all State-Owned enterprises from 2017 to January 2021 and is expected to head the Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation if approved.
