Although the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued guidance saying masks are not needed for fully vaccinated people in most cases, the governor is asking people on Guam to continue wearing masks in public. While we ve reached our Path to Half, we continue aggressive efforts to achieve Operation Liberate Guam, or herd immunity, governor s spokeswoman Krystal Paco-San Agustin said Friday. Also, now is not the time to take off the mask, especially as we ve made significant changes, including increasing the social gathering limit to 100 people and easing quarantine restrictions for incoming travelers.

Children age 12 and older are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine on Guam, following a recommendation by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
Parents who wish to have their children vaccinated can bring them to the clinic at University of Guam s Calvo Field House beginning at 11 a.m. Thursday morning, Adelup spokeswoman Krystal Paco-San Agustin said. Minors who are 12- to 17-years of age may only receive the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine as the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson/Janssen (J & J/Janssen) vaccines are not recommended for individuals below the age of 18 years, according to a Joint Information Center statement. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and provide government-issued identification to validate age. The parent or legal guardian will also be required to sign a consent form.
HAGÃ TÃA (The Guam Daily Post) â After traveling more than 1,500 miles and completing a 14-day quarantine, Daniel Marshall finally rolled up his sleeve to get his Covid-19 vaccine Wednesday.
Marshall, a businessman and engineer, is among the American expatriates in the region who have already made their way to Guam for vaccination and vacation.
No visiting American citizens are denied the federally funded vaccines, and Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero has tasked her chief medical adviser, Dr. Michael Cruz, to develop an operations plan to vaccinate American expatriates coming to Guam.
Marshall, 66, said he s grateful that Guam s doors are open for American expatriates like him.

Håfa adai! Assuming our dosing pipeline of Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines is sufficient to inoculate up to 80% of our island’s adult population against COVID-19 before midsummer, Guam Visitors Bureau is eager to activate its signature “Air V and V” campaign.
This is right in line with Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero’s goal to liberate Guam from the virus by Liberation Day.
Inspired by the Airbnb bed & breakfast brand, instead of focusing specifically on the worldwide guesthouse market, GVB will narrow in on virus-free American expatriates living in the Asia-Pacific region who might consider flying to a U.S. tropical resort destination for three or four weeks of “vacation and vaccination.”
