Lowell E. Poore, age 85, of Corbin, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Ky. His wife, Wilma Jean Parker Poore, survives.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 2, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Corn Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Please remember to wear a face covering and to social distance. LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) â An 18-year-old has died Thursday evening following a shooting in Lexington.
The Fayette County Coroner s Office says 18-year-old Dominico Cloyd died from a gunshot wound shortly after 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. His manner of death has been ruled a homicide.
Sergeant Donnell Gordon with the Lexington Police Department says the shooting happened shortly after 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 23. Officers were dispatched in the 700 block of N. Upper Street for a shots fired call at that time.
