MIRA: “Nuestras observaciones con ALMA se obtuvieron a una resolución tan exquisita que pudimos identificar claramente que el disco está asociado con el planeta y pudimos restringir su tamaño por primera vez”, añade.

Astrónomos detectan formación lunar sobre un exoplaneta a 370 años luz

Y precisamente un equipo de astrónomos del Observatorio Europeo Austral (ESO), han encontrado la que sería la primera evidencia de la formación lunar, en un exoplaneta. El mundo, es un gigante gaseoso similar a Júpiter, y se encuentra a unos 370 años luz de distancia. Debido a la edad que los científicos calculan de estos astros: exoplaneta y estrella, son componentes jóvenes. En el estudio que publican en el portal del ESO hablan que la estrella masiva, identificada como PDS 70, tiene unos 5.4 millones de años. Y si no les parece que eso es una estrella joven, deben saber que nuestro sol tiene aproximadamente 4.603 miles de millones de años.
