QUEZON CITY, April 9 (PIA) The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), through its Intertextual Division (CCP-ID), held a successful launch for the latest edition of their official literary journal, Ani, on Wednesday, April 7, a report by PTV News said.
The launch was held virtually on Zoom and featured live on the CCP and the CCP-ID’s official Facebook Pages.
Ani is published yearly and features themed works from writers and artists from all over the country. This year’s theme is “Lakbay” (travel), and this is the publication’s 41st issue.
CCP Chairperson Ma. Margarita Moran-Floirendo said, in her message for the journal, that Ani is proof that artists can continue to make excellent art under all sorts of conditions, even the most adverse.

Samahan ng Progresibong Kabataan (SPARK), in a statement issued Tuesday, April 6, 2021, reiterated its call for #AcademicBreak as it stands up for students and their families who are “being left behind” as the country continues to grapple with impact of the pandemic.
“We have had enough!” SPARK said. “It is violence to force children to answer quizzes and apply business-as-usual yardsticks when we do not know where to get food for tomorrow or if the virus will hit our families next,” it added.
SPARK noted that students have also “had enough.” With their respective councils and organizations across the Greater Manila Area, they have been pushing for an academic break or academic ease.
Due to the surge in coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the country, several higher education institutions (HEIs) in areas where the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) is enforced have declared suspension of classes for students and work for faculty and other personnel.

MANILA – The coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic that forced people to stay indoors, even while working, propagated the use of social media and digital platforms.
The internet has undoubtedly become one of man’s greatest inventions as sending messages, thoughts, and stories in just one click is now possible.
University of Santo Tomas seminarian and vlogger Enrico Macrohon was one of those who saw the opportunity to utilize social media platforms to spread God’s word.
