One of the individuals, a 41-year-old man, was shot in the abdomen, and is listed in serious condition at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
A 36-year-old woman was shot in the leg, and is in fair condition at Christ Hospital, while a 32-year-old man was shot in the foot and is also being treated at that location.
A 28-year-old man suffered a graze wound to his hand, and is at South Shore Hospital, while two other victims, both 48-year-old men, were taken to the University of Chicago in fair condition after being shot in the legs.
Police did not provide any other information about a suspect in the case, and Area Two detectives are currently investigating the shooting.

CHICAGO - Six people were killed and at least 32 others wounded in shootings across Chicago this weekend.
The period was twice as deadly as last weekend when 18 people were shot three of them fatally between 5 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday.
The oldest victim this weekend was a 71-year-old grandmother shot dead in Morgan Park on the South Side. Emma Wright was in home about 7:40 p.m. Sunday in the 10800 block of South Morgan Street when two males outside fired shots at the home, authorities said. She was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
Man charged with murder in March Bronzeville shooting

Nathaniel Boyce, 18, was charged with one count of first-degree murder for his role in the
Starnes was outside a home on March 1 about 4:55 p.m. in the 4700 block of South Evans Avenue when three males walked up to him and fired shots, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
He was struck multiple times in the chest and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, officials said.
Boyce was arrested Wednesday in South Shore. He is expected to appear in court Friday.
8 shot, 1 fatally Thursday in Chicago

A 19-year-old man was fatally shot Thursday afternoon in Mayfair on the Northwest Side.
About 12:50 p.m., he was walking in the 4000 block of West Wilson Avenue when someone in a stolen white Nissan Maxima fired shots, striking him multiple times in the body, Chicago police said. He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The stolen Nissan was later found several blocks away in the 4400 block of North LaCrosse Avenue, and officers located the person of interest in the 4300 block of North Major Avenue, police said.
