(NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown controlled the match from the start on Thursday evening in Sioux City as the #1 Jimmies swept #8 Eastern Oregon (25-22, 25-20, 25-21) to move on to the National Semifinals. Jamestown battled with the Mountaineers in set one before going on a 3-0 run late in set one to cap off a first set victory. Eastern Oregon responded by starting set two up 10-4 before the Jimmies rattled off 21 of the final 31 points to take set two as well. UJ would hop out early in game three and take the match, ending Eastern Oregon’s season.

Dickinson State took a 1-0 lead on an RBI groundout by Robert Encinas that scored Kobe Krenz from third.

As a private university, affordability remains critical to recruiting and retaining students. (UJ) – On Saturday, April 24, University of Jamestown hosted its 35th Annual Dine and Bid Benefit Auction, themed “Back to the Future.” For the first time ever, the event was held both live and virtually. In total, the University raised a record-breaking $280,350. “We want to express our deep gratitude for the support of our donors and those who attended the auction, both in person and virtually. As a private university, affordability remains critical to recruiting and retaining students,” said Dr. Polly Peterson, President of University of Jamestown. “We continue to be one of the most affordable colleges in the region because of the generous support of the community, our alumni and friends. Thank you again for making this year’s Dine and Bid one of our biggest nights yet. Every dollar raised will go to supporting the scholarship needs of our students next fall.”
