Knox News is publishing a series of stories about the experience of health care professionals who have treated COVID-19 patients throughout the pandemic. The series evolved from a series of conversations with health care providers initiated by Knox News about gaining more insight into the challenges faced by health care professionals. Covenant Health agreed to connect us with employees who have been on the front lines. The stories are meant to capture a single experience and do not fully portray the extent of the virus s toll on patients, providers and the community. We hope these articles highlight the realities of the coronavirus pandemic.
The American Advertising Federation has announced Nashville newspaper
The Contributor as the winner of 12 gold and silver awards for its We Are Nashville campaign.
The We Are Nashville initiative is privately funded, according to a release. Cathy Jennings, executive director of
The Contributor, said the nonprofit paper focused on the local unhoused population was “blown away” by how We Are Nashville provided content that “honored our vendors, allowed them to see themselves in the work, and to see themselves differently.
The Contributor is extremely proud of this partnership.”
The Brand Hotel marketing agency was responsible for the work.
Williamson Medical Group opens clinic in Spring Hill
In August 2019, Kimberly Diei enrolled in a graduate program at the University of Tennessee at Memphis, where she’s studying to earn her doctorate from the College of Pharmacy by 2023.
But an anonymous complaint about Diei’s Twitter and Instagram posts put those hopes in jeopardy. In September 2019, someone reported her social media activity to the pharmacy college’s Professional Conduct Committee. The committee reprimanded Diei for violating the college’s professional standards.
A year later, after receiving yet another anonymous complaint, the committee investigated Diei’s online content again. Within four days, board members voted to expel her from the pharmacy program, deeming her social media posts too “sexual,” “crude,” or “vulgar.”
