Improving student success in South Africa is no easy goal. The University of the Free State is hosting a webinar on this important topic.
Improving student success is something many South African universities are actively pursuing. However, it remains a challenge that requires collective action.
The University of the Free State (UFS) is hosting a webinar titled “Reimagining universities for student success”. It will be held on Thursday 4 March and several international panellists will take part.
The webinar will run from 14:00 to 16:00, and will the first such event in the university’s Thought-Leader Webinar Series for 2021.

Last year the minister of higher education, science and innovation, Blade Nzimande, announced that the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) will fund studies looking at the use of African medicines as immune-modulators and anti-coronavirus therapeutics.
Dr Samantha Potgieter, infectious disease expert at the Universitas Academic Hospital and affiliated lecturer in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of the Free State (UFS), was the first health-care worker to receive the Johnson & Johnson vaccine in the Free State.

Johannesburg - Dr Samantha Potgieter was the first person to take a Covid-19 jab in the Free State province on Thursday.
Potgieter is an infectious disease expert at the Universitas Academic Hospital and an affiliated lecturer in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of the Free State (UFS).
