+ May 03, 2021 OFFICIALS in Negros Occidental lauded a Negrense cadet who topped the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class of 2021.
Cadet First Class Janrey Cabanero Artus of San Enrique town in Negros Occidental is the valedictorian of the Mandirigmang Samahan ng Lakas na Sandigan ng Bayan (Masaligan) Class of 2021, the PMA announced on Monday, May 3.
Twenty-five-year-old Artus, who studied Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering as a scholar at the University of the Philippines-Visayas Miag-oa Campus in Iloilo Province, will graduate summa cum laude during the commencement exercises scheduled on May 10.

Popular sports nutritionist Jeaneth Aro has been working in the corner of veteran weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz the past four years, the last was when the superstar Filipino athlete captured three gold medals in the Roma World Cup more than a year ago in Italy.
Their partnership started in 2017, a year after Diaz earned a silver medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics and decided to form her own “HD Team” with Chinese mentor Kaiwen Gao and strength and conditioning coach Julius Naranjo.

NLEX Corporation goes full blast on its major infrastructure projects, from the 8-kilometer NLEX Connector to the upgrade of the 5-kilometer Candaba Viaduct, despite community quarantine restrictions.
“We are following our timelines and have contingencies in place to be able to accomplish our projects amid the community quarantine,” NLEX Corporation President and General Manager J. Luigi L. Bautista stressed Monday, (May 3) in a statement.
“By accelerating these projects, we are doing our part to help keep the economy going,” he pointed out.
Construction on the first 5-kilometer of the NLEX Connector or the Caloocan-España section is continuing, with its progress standing at 32 percent.

BAGUIO CITY, May 3(PIA) The Philippine Military Academy top officials presented today the best performing cadets of the PMA “MASALIGAN” Class of 2021 who will graduate next Monday, May 10.
Topping the 164-strong graduating class is Cadet First Class Janrey Artus of San Enrique, Negros Occidental.
Artus whose father is a retired soldier and his mother a retired teacher, will graduate as Summa Cum Laude.
As class valedictorian, he will receive the Presidential Saber. He will also receive the Philippine Navy Saber, the Australian Defence Award, Spanish Armed Forces Award and the Navy Professional Plaque.
