Ty Hernandez cleared the bar at 1.79 meters (5-10.5) to win the men s high jump. William Warner and Jason Peterson went head-to-head in the men s 600 run, with Warner posting a time of 1:24.33 and Peterson a time of 1:24.56. Chris Hanessian won the 1000-meter run with a time of 2:43.62 and Adam King claimed the men s mile in 4:26.02.

Nancy Jo Cecil (n*e Wiltshire)

Nancy Jo Cecil (née Wiltshire) passed away on January 26th, 2021 at home, surrounded by family and her beloved dog, Sammy. Nancy was born in Hanford, California on June 17th, 1946 to Raymond and Betty Jo Wiltshire. After Betty Jo s passing, Ray married Wynne Williams, eventually bringing three brothers and one special sister into her life. In 1976, Nancy married Tom Cecil, finding the family she always wanted with Toms four children. Nancy was a 1964 graduate of Hanford High School and a 1968 graduate of the University of the Pacific, graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work. After working in Hanford as a social worker, Nancy took the opportunity to work in a childrens home in Scotland. After two years abroad, she returned to Hanford, where, over the course of the next fifty years, she worked for Kings County Probation and Social Services and volunteered for CASA of Kings County and other such local organizations, continually working for the betterment and benefit of Ki

Stockton Unified interim Superintendent Brian Biedermann announces resignation The Record STOCKTON Brian Biedermann, interim superintendent of the Stockton Unified School District, announced his resignation Tuesday in a letter posted on the district s website and social media. It is with a heavy heart that I announce my thirty-day notice to resign as Interim Superintendent, Biedermann said.  This was no easy decision, but due to recent health complications, I must step down to tend to my own personal health. Biedermann, who previously served as director of educational services for Stockton Unified, was selected by the Board of Trustees to serve as interim superintendent after John Deasy stepped down last year. He informed the district s Board of Trustees of his decision to step down five months before his contract was set to expire June 15.
