Damon Stoudamire leaves Pacific to join Celtics coaching staff

Pacific head coach Damon Stoudamire stepped down on Wednesday to join new Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka s staff.
Stoudamire completed his fifth season at Pacific in 2020-21 and compiled a 71-77 record. He was named the West Coast Conference Coach of the Year in 2019-20 after leading the Tigers to a 23-10 record.
Stoudamire, 47, and Udoka, 43, are both natives of Portland.
Stoudamire previously was an assistant coach at the University of Memphis and his alma mater, Arizona. He was an assistant with the NBA s Memphis Grizzlies from 2009-11.
