The University of Saint Joseph presents a three-part Civil Rights Film Series, curated by Dr. Pablo Correa, Dr. Anthony De Jesús, and Steven Raider-Ginsburg. The film series is virtual, consisting of the film and post-film panel discussion with the filmmaker and additional panelists. The film series runs on Thursdays, April 8, April 15 and April 22 at 7 p.m. Tickets are free of charge and can be obtained online at autorino.usj.edu

BERLIN, CT Each year, two seniors from each member high school are selected to represent their school as the Connecticut Association of Schools – Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CAS-CIAC) Scholar-Athletes. Selection criteria include exemplary academic and athletic careers; personal standards and achievements that are a model to others; and high levels of integrity, self-discipline, and courage. Berlin High School is proud to announce that this year s Scholar-Athlete Award recipients are Jacob Lindsay and Jenna Zup. Both Jacob and Jenna are exemplary students and athletes who maintain a healthy, productive balance between academic and extracurricular activities so they can put their best efforts into all of their commitments. Jacob and Jenna will be recognized as the Berlin High Scholar-Athletes during a virtual event that will be broadcast via local television in the near future.

Six Western Connecticut State University graduate student candidates for the Master of Fine Arts degree in 2021 are presenting their works in the M.F.A. Thesis Virtual Exhibition featured on the web page of the Gallery at the WCSU Visual and Performing Arts Center in Danbury.
Sponsored by the university’s Department of Art, the virtual exhibition that opened on
April 5 offers the public an opportunity to experience the diverse works in painting, illustration and mixed media created by this year’s M.F.A. candidates. Closure of the VPAC Gallery to the public during the pandemic has made in-person viewing of the exhibition impossible.
