“Our social life with friends and family is completely virtual,” said Errol Crook, the Abraham A. Mitchell Professor and chair of internal medicine at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine.
No kidding: Crook said that at one point in 2020 he had to make arrangements to isolate from the rest of his family, because he was seeing patients while his daughters had to return back home from graduate and undergraduate school. He and his wife also have struggled to maintain relationships with parents in skilled nursing facilities.

AFTER a car accident ended her promising track and field career at 19, Antonia Burton is now on a mission to help other athletes reach their fullest potential by helping them earn scholarships and create a quality life for themselves.
Burton, 34, is a national track and field coach and a coach at Memphis Pioneers. She is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist who has worked with several athletes in many sporting disciplines in TT. And she s a USA Track and Field level one coach and an International Association of Athletics Federations level three coach.
Three professors at the University of South Alabama who went to a 2014 Halloween party dressed as a Confederate soldier with a noose have been placed on administrative leave.
