Mulkey brings with him an extensive background in formulating polyurethane foam and coating systems, acrylic PSA, and polyurea chemistries. He has both a B.S. Degree in Polymer Science from the University of Southern Mississippi and an M.S. Degree in Polymer Science from the University of Akron. David s experience includes a previous role as Senior R&D Scientist at Invista working on Aromatic Polyester Polyol Product Development for use in rigid polyurethane foam applications. Horace E. “Mac” McMahon, 79, passed away and joined the Lord on December 15, 2020. He was born at home in Purvis, Mississippi on September 27, 1941 to the late Julius Everett and Mildred Fillingame McMahon. He graduated from Oak Gove High School in 1960 before earning his B. S. from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS.
He married the love of his life Rebecca Kay Walker on January 4, 1964. Their union was blessed with three children, and later, four loving grandchildren. The couple relocated to Victoria, TX in 1970 when Mac went to work for Dresser Atlas as a petroleum engineer. Although the couple were dismayed by the flat and treeless landscape of South Texas, they made a happy home and many lifelong friends in Victoria before relocating to Abilene in 1984 when Mac was transferred. TUPELO ⢠Amanda Angle, an accountant, and Eric Hampton, a business owner, each say they intend to run for Tupeloâs Ward 1 City Council seat as Republicans, signaling at least one contested primary for a council seat in next yearâs municipal elections.
Both candidates either own or help lead private businesses in town. In exclusive interviews to the Daily Journal, each detailed that, if elected, he or she would work to support local businesses and to be a voice for entrepreneurs inside City Hall.
Hampton, 42, is a native of Lee County, owns several businesses in town and has been active in local politics for several years. He said that one of his core priorities would be to ensure economic growth continues in Tupelo and that the city maintains good working relationships with federal and state officials.

The Thad Cochran Marine Aquaculture Center at The University of Southern Mississippi recently received a gift from the Mississippi Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) to support the center’s seatrout restoration program.
