The Senior Bowl has announced their 2021 Hall of Fame class.

Each year, the Senior Bowl is an invaluable resource both for NFL prospects who hope to improve their draft stock and for teams searching for talented athletes. As such, the Senior Bowl is a crucial part of the pre-draft process and has grown to be beloved among football fans for providing entertainment and information during the offseason. Thursday (April 8), the Senior Bowl announced the newest Hall of Fame inductees, the 2019 and 2020 Rookie-of-the-Year awards and a new charitable golf classic.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - Road closures will be set in place Saturday morning as the City of Hattiesburg gears up for this yearâs Half-Marathon, 10K & 5K.
The event, which is presented by Forrest General Hospital, will begin in downtown Hattiesburg and run through The Avenues, The University of Southern Mississippi and the Longleaf Trace back to downtown Hattiesburg.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell announced his campaign for U.S. Congress in Mississippiâs Fourth Congressional District Wednesday.
The seat is currently held by Rep. Steven Palazzo, who told WLOX that he plans to run for re-election in 2022. Palazzo is currently facing an investigation by the Office of Congressional Ethics.
Ezell is a Republican who has served as Jackson County Sheriff since 2014 when he was first elected in a special election. He was re-elected to the position in 2015 and 2019. Ezell has 40 years of service in law enforcement, including working in the Pascagoula Police Department and serving as chief of police for the Ocean Springs Police Department.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast hosted by the Mu Gamma Lambda chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity at the University of Southern Mississippi will be moved online this year.
This is the 15th annual prayer breakfast by the chapter, but the members agreed to go virtual with the event due to complications with COVID. The event has already been pushed back, as it is usually hosted on MLK day in January.
Hundreds of runners will be taking over Hattiesburg s streets Saturday for the Hattiesburg Half Marathon, 10K and 5K.
The half marathon will begin at 7 a.m. in front of Saenger Theater and end at the same place.
From approximately 6 a.m. until noon Saturday, there will be street closures in downtown Hattiesburg, The Oaks, Parkhaven, Longleaf Heights and around The University of Southern Mississippi.
A total of 1,385 people have signed up to participate, according to organizers.
The Pinebelt Foundation is hosting the event, in its 10th year, and it is sponsored by Forrest General Hospital and other local businesses.
The event is focusing on the philanthropic impact by offering a charity runner option. Charity Runners can choose one of 14 selected agencies in the Pinebelt region for which to raise money and awareness for its mission.
