David Seilstad joined the UNO Academic and Career Development team in 2019.
The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Tuesday, Dec. 22, in memory of David Seilstad, staff assistant for UNO s Academic and Career Development Center.
David passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 15, at the age of 61. He is survived by his wife Lori, son Parker, and daughters Caroline and Emma; his mother Vivian Seilstad; sisters Jeanne (Arlan) Marttila Julie (Jeff) Johnson; among many other relatives and close friends.
A UNO almunus, earning his master s degree in Urban Studies, David came to the Academic and Career Development Center (ACDC) in 2019 with 30 years’ experience as an Extension Coordinator for Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. Prior to his time at Iowa State David was a 4-H ambassador with the International Four-H Youth Exchange, teaching agriculture to children in Thailand for two years, and also served for a short time in the National 4-H Center in Washington
