At an April 27 presentation before the Eddy County DWI Program Advisory Council by Assistant Attorney General Lisa Breen, Eddy County found a new ally in the fight against drunk and drugged driving in Eddy County.
During the presentation, Breen said the Traffic Safety Prosecution Unit with the Attorney General s Office provides advice and DWI policy matters and works with government, law enforcement, the courts and anti-drunk driving programs like Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) and the Eddy County DWI Program.
“We go all over the state and try and help in anyway we can. Part of our role is to advise prosecutors and local district attorney’s offices about best practices in taking these cases to trial,” Breen said.
