The current provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at Santa Fe College in Florida, Bonahue was appointed SCCC president by the State University of New York Board of Trustees. The announcement was made by the SUNY Board of Trustees and SUNY Chancellor Jim Malatras on Monday. Bonahue, a veteran higher education executive with more than 20 years of experience in community college education, described his new role as a “tremendous honor and privilege.”

Truckenmiller named FMCC 9th president | News, Sports, Jobs

Apr 8, 2021 JOHNSTOWN At the April meeting of the State University of New York Board of Trustees, they approved the appointment of Dr. Gregory Truckenmiller as the ninth president of Fulton-Montgomery Community College. Truckenmiller has been serving as acting president since Aug. 1, 2019, when former President Dustin Swanger retired after serving as president since 2006. Truckenmiller began his FMCC career in 2000 as the director of institutional research. In this position, he established a new Office of Institutional Research and organized a program of support for internal and external reporting and analysis, which is still in place today. From 2002 through 2009 he served as the dean of arts and sciences at FM. In this capacity he led four academic divisions as well as the Campus Learning Center. SUNY Board of Trustees appointed SUNY Provost Tod Laursen as acting president for SUNY Poly

Observer-Dispatch ALBANY State University of New York Board of Trustees has appointed SUNY Provost Tod A. Laursen as acting president for SUNY Polytechnic Institute. Laursen’s appointment is effective immediately, and he will lead the Utica and Albany campuses in preparing for the return of students in the spring in accordance with SUNY guidance to reopen safely. A search for a permanent SUNY Poly president will begin shortly. Laursen also will work with Chancellor Jim Malatras to ensure a smooth transition of his current responsibilities as senior vice chancellor and provost of SUNY system administration to Provost-in-Charge Dr. Fatemeh (Shadi) Shahedipour-Sandvik, who was appointed by Malatras.
