The ship was found off the coast of Kefalonia - one of the Ionian islands near the west coast of Greece. The wreck of the 35 metres (110ft) ship, along with its cargo of 6,000 amphorae, was discovered at a depth of around 60 metres (197ft) during a survey of the area. The Oceanus network of the University of Patras discovered the vessel, which was classified as the largest classical shipwreck found in the eastern Mediterranean. George Ferentinos from the university noted the find was of significant archa

Greece’s lockdown could be extended beyond the end of the month, as Covid-19 infections and hospital admissions continue to rise.
“All the burden at the moment is on the Ministry of Health, the health workers and the citizens who need to understand what is happening. If it weren’t for all these measures, we might have gotten worse. The pandemic is a difficult situation to control. If we did not have these measures, we might have had more cases,” said Charalambos Gogos, Professor of Infectious Diseases and Pathology at the University of Patras.

Researchers at two universities in the United States have come to the same conclusion as Canadians â frozen chicken nuggets can harbour food-poisoning Listeria monocytogenes bacteria.
Even if they are refrigerated, the researchers found that uncooked, frozen, commercially prepared chicken nuggets could potentially foster Listeria over the course of their shelf life based on a two-step modeling approach.

For their research, they inoculated nuggets with Listeria and stored them at different isothermic temperatures to measure growth behavior under both constant and dynamic temperature conditions.

Recent advances in machine learning & AI, computer vision, and control theory offer a tremendous opportunity to deploy autonomous robot systems to uncharted environments to accomplish complex missions. Such tasks are particularly challenging as they require the robots to operate in environments with unknown structure, degraded environmental conditions, severe communication and sensing constraints, and expansive areas of operation. With the goal of ultimately designing safe, robust and autonomous robotic systems that can operate in these conditions, in the first part of this talk, I will present a novel autonomy control loop that embraces learning-based perception, area mapping, and a novel planning method that allows teams of robots to safely accomplish complex missions in unknown but continuously learned environments. Particularly, the proposed met
