Immunization with Cuban vaccine candidate Abdala makes progress (+ Photo) Immunization with Cuban vaccine candidate Abdala makes progress (+ Photo) Sancti Spiritus, Cuba, May 11 (Prensa Latina) The vaccine candidate Abdala is being administered in the province of Sancti Spiritus to workers and students in the healthcare sector at 40 facilities certified for that purpose. Prensa Latina learnt that more than 2,000 people from the province received the first dose on Monday, in a program aimed at immunizing some 25,000 people. According to experts, conditions have been created to treat around 100 people a day at healthcare areas. Mirta Santos, deputy director of Medical Assistance at the Health Directorate, confirmed that the process is running successfully without any adverse reactions among patients.
