Meeting on Chelmsford West Campus site postponed to May 13

Wicked Local CHELMSFORD   The town may face a proposed multi-family development for the former West Campus property, according to Town Manager Paul Cohen. Cohen said he expects property developer Trammell Crow Residential will present details at a joint Select Board and Planning Board meeting. The meeting, originally set for April 29, has been moved to May 13, 7 p.m. The developer sent informational flyers to neighbors, noting developments in Billerica and in Wrentham.  Latest proposal The property, once part of the University of Massachusetts Lowell, consists of about 34 acres and is located at 255 Princeton St. in North Chelmsford, near the Chelmsford and Lowell line.

New Sterling recreation director looks forward to expanding programming

STERLING - Lunenburg resident Sandra Habe officially started her new job as the recreation department director on May 3.  “I was thrilled to learn that I was going to be the next director of recreation,” Habe said. “The town of Sterling is beautiful and the people in the town are welcoming and proud to live there. I look forward to helping the community achieve their goals for the community’s recreation programs.” Habe grew up primarily in Massachusetts. She graduated from Westborough High School, University of Massachusetts Lowell with a bachelor s in marketing management, and Goddard College in Plainfield, Vt., with a master’s in school counseling.
