MINNEAPOLIS The latest numbers from the Minnesota Department of Health show as of Wednesday about 8% of Minnesota s 5.6 million residents have received at least one dose of a COVID vaccine so far.
Nearly 97,000 Minnesotans have completed their two-dose vaccine series.
So, where does Minnesota rank compared to the rest of the country?
According to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University, Minnesota ranks 17th in the nation for fully vaccinated people.
University of New England provost steps down
Joshua Hamilton says he left the post for personal reasons, and UNE officials say he will be on sabbatical for the rest of the academic year.

The University of New England’s provost, Joshua W. Hamilton, has stepped down and will be on sabbatical for the rest of the academic year, the university announced Saturday.
A UNE spokeswoman, Sarah Delage, shared the university president’s internal announcement of the top academic official’s departure, but said UNE couldn’t comment on why Hamilton was leaving.

DULUTH – Developers are planning more than a dozen tiny homes in Duluth, including an eight-unit park that is among the first and largest such developments in the state.
The proposals, at sites around the city, are part of the Rebuild Duluth program in which the city gives away parcels of land to encourage creative housing solutions. I m excited to see what the community interest is, said Jason Hale, senior housing developer for the city of Duluth. If it goes well we can start looking at where else this might make sense.
The Duluth Economic Development Authority signed off on the land giveaway at a meeting Wednesday night. Hale said the homes, which will be permanent structures connected to city utilities, could be ready by the end of 2022.
