Young lawyers bring meditation to ABA Midyear Meeting

It s important to offer people opportunities to practice meditation because once you introduce them to it, it s more likely they ll try it again on their own, says Christina Sava, a member of the Young Lawyers Division Wellness Committee.
Christina Sava will be leading mindfulness sessions during the ABA Midyear Meeting.
“The purpose for me is often to introduce people to what a basic mindfulness practice is, mindfulness meditation practice, and dispel some myths about what it’s not or how you have to do it perfectly,” says Sava, an associate in the Los Angeles office of Vicente Sederberg. She learned about mindfulness while studying at the University of Miami School of Law.
Attorney Matt Pietsch has rejoined law firm Taylor Pigue Marchetti & Blair as a partner. Pietsch practiced with the Nashville firm from 2008 to 2015 before spending five years as a sole practitioner. Prior to joining TPMB the first time around, Pietsch was an assistant district attorney general in Nashville and an assistant state attorney in West Palm Beach, Florida. “Matt was always an outstanding attorney when he was at tpmbLAW before, and his legal work and success since then have only enhanced his experience and his knowledge,” Managing Member Gino Marchetti said in a release. “Those strengths add to the services we provide our clients.
