Tommy Bert Handley, 69, of Wichita Falls was welcomed into the loving arms of his Savior on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.
Tommy was born on October 3, 1951, in Larned, Kansas, the middle child to Robert Handley and Elizabeth Schraeder. He joined the U.S. Army in 1971 and was first stationed in Korea, where he met the love of his life, Suk K. Ko. They were married on November 26, 1972. His leadership qualities were recognized by a commanding officer who mentored and encouraged him to become an officer. After 21 dedicated years of service, he retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 3; a decorated veteran, who received the Legion of Merit Award.

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor held commencement services for the Fall 2020 semester on Friday, Dec. 11, at Crusader Stadium. This was the universityâs 164th graduating class, and a total of 388 students graduated with baccalaureate degrees, 76 received masterâs degrees, and 41 earned doctoral degrees.
Sidney Caleb Chadwell, of Bullard, was among the graduates, earning a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management.
UMHB President Dr. Randy OâRear commended students for their dedication and determination to finish their degrees during unprecedented times.

Burnet High School senior defensive end Braeden Howell is celebrating a pretty impressive week as he heads into the Christmas break.
On Monday, Dec. 14, he was named the defensive most valuable player at the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl in Arlington, where he had four sacks and nine tackles while only playing in a third of the contest. The game showcases some of the best high school players from across the country.
